Used to, long time ago.  Excellent pistol, good ergonomics -- 1911 but shrunk so it fit the hand better; very flat for concealment.  Sold it when the Star PD came out, lighter and bigger caliber.  (Told you it was a long time ago.)

I'm a big fan of the Star BM.  Damn shame about the name, though.

That was one of the first pistols I'd fired before getting my permit. It was accurate and reliable. Low cost as well.

I do, but I don't shoot it.  I've heard replacement parts are hard to come by and I'm afraid of breaking something.

I got one too. I also really like it alot. But I have the same problem I like it so much I am afraid that if I shoot it too much it will be hard to get the parts I need. Kinda defeats the purpose of having it if you can shoot it. I actually took of the magazine hold that limited it from dropping. If anyone knows where I can get a complete replacement kit for it I would be most grateful.

Star BM's are niiiiiice.

Great triggers; solid steel means low recoil....just a blast to shoot.

Handy little things too...

They were dirt cheap about a year or two ago...$159 a pop, IIRC.  Can't find them now at that price, but they're still reasonable!

I have a Star Model 30 9mm para.  One of the best kept secrets in the firearms world.  Star of Spain went bankrupt a few years ago, and have merged Illama.  I don't think you should be too concerned about part breakage, they are pretty sturdy.  There are also parted out guns(like an automotive junkyard), so spare parts are available.

Ah, the Limited Edition Pimpin' Pistol.

Here's an interesting article:

PS - probably not stainless steel -- more likely nickel plating.

No, but I do have a Star Modelo B in 9mm Largo.

It's C&R and a very nice gun.
