Don't own one, but I have shot the .44's. They are great shooters in my opinion. Looking to get one myself once funds are available.

As an owner of a Mark VII .44 Mag. Desert Eagle before they started making them here in the states. The only bad part is finding parts for mine cause of that. Other than that it's a beautiful piece of hand gun and I wouldn't trade it for the world or the finest drinkie girl either.

I have the new model .50 AE Desert Eagle as well. Only a few hundred rounds through it, but no problems whatsoever.

As I see it, the only drawback to the DEagles is the weight.  All the ones I have seen/shot are very reliable.

Weight and the damn grips. If you have small hands forget it.
