What kind of trigger action does it have? Friend of mine says he saw one in a store near him has one for $250. I am looking for a DAO. Is it a true DAO? Or a DA shifting to SA after the first shot? Or a Glock-type? Thanks. |

This isn't who I think it is, is it? Your friend wouldn't happen to be in Kingman by chance, is he? Because if so, I was looking at the same one. Interesting but I wasn't sold on it. Yet. I believe it is a true DAO. Tell your friend to go buy it before I do . . . ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=4&t=44966 Ouch! Never mind, I am not buying it. I didn't buy the AMT Break-Up .45 either . . . |
Nope. Must be another. Thanks for the info. |
| The PRO model I had was SA with a DA restrike capability. I had a manual safety so you basically carried it "cocked and locked" like a 1911. I was actually quite impressed with the SA and DA trigger for this gun. Mine ran good after an initial trip back to Taurus. Sold it though because I decided to go with a G30. |

I had a Millenium Pro in 9mm. The trigger is DAO with restrike capability. TRY b4 you buy.......I didn't and I hated the trigger......too long of a pull and pretty heavy. It did gobble up and spit out everything I fed it (including CCI shot shells). I believe it had accuracy potential but the trigger hampered that. As far as restrike capability goes, don't buy a handgun based on that. It works for a revolver because when you squeeze the trigger again, a new round is revolved around. On an auto, if it doesn't go bang the first time, it PROBABLY isn't going to go bang the 4th or 10th time either. This when the tap, rack, bang method comes into play. I would suggest at looking at Glock and Springfiled XD's. Both are highly respected weapons and if I remember correctly even Clint Smith from Thunder Ranch uses the XD. Just TRY b4 you BUY. |
| My roomate CCWs a PRO in 9mm. He's had no problems, and it really impressed me when I fired it. Love the trigger, and I was very accurate once I got used to the sights. Sorry, no experience with the .45, but I recommend you fire one before you buy it. I imagine that the recoil is pretty harsh. |
Recoil is cake on the 45 |
I prefer pie. |
