What are the differences between the Beretta FS, the Brigadier, and the Elite I/II's? I know the slides are a little different, and that there is a slight weight difference, but what else? Sights? Triggers? Thanks, Chimborazo |

Regardless of type: FS=regular double action, D=DAO, G=decocker only (like a Sig) The Brigadier has a heavier, reinforced slide. The area where the locking block engages the slide is heavier and the loop over the barrel is heavier so that the front sight is dovetailed in. The sights are a higher profile than the regular FS and they can easily be replaced. The Vertec has a slimmer grip, an accessory rail for attaching a flashlight, and has the heavier barrel loop of the Brigadier so that it also has a dovetailed front sight. The Elite series are 'competition' pistols and all have 'G' type safeties. The Elite 1 is a blued Brigadier with a stainless barrel. The Elite 1a is the same but on a Vertec frame. The Elite II has a blued frame, stainless slide, Novack sights, checkered front strap, extended mag release, stainless slide and barrel, a special barrel crown and a lighter trigger. There are also some other cool setups like the G/SD that is an all black Brigadier with G model safety, tritium sights and an accessory rail. |
