Hi there. I was at the range today shooting with my CZ 75; I fired about twenty rounds when I feel that something just hit me on the chest. First I thought it was a case but it wasn't. It was the slide stop!!
It broke in half and it jumped right at me. Is that normal?? Do you know where can I get that part and about how much would it cost?
Thank you for any info on the subject.

This is somewhat common with CZ75's-certainly not an everyday thing but occasionally seen.
Try Brownells or European American Armory(EAA).
EAA carries parts for their "Witness" line, clones for the CZ75, and most parts are interchangeable and reasonably priced.

CZ USA should be able to help you as well.

I would contact CZ-USA directly, I "think" I have read on CZForum.com where CZ has supplied a replacement. Unless you have had your 75 for some time I think it is reasonable to ask..
Let us know what they have to say.

P.S. CZForum was going to put together a letter to CZ citing names, addresses of owners that have had this problem in hopes of getting CZ to enhance their product...I don't know if this went anywhere.

Sorry about the problem with your CZ.

This is one of those weird little things that some CZs seem to have a problem with.  I've put a lot of rounds through 2 CZs and never had this issue.

How many rounds have you put through your CZ?

Do you shoot standard ammo, or +p, or some of the NATO loadings?

I took the factory recoil spring out of both of my CZs after about 200 rounds and replaced them with Wolff springs.  I went with a stiffer spring in both cases because I do tend to shoot hotter loads at times.  I've been told that a stiffer spring will reduce wear on the stop.    Both weapons function fine with either standard loads or p+.
