So, I just had a pistol refinished in a cool looking camo pattern and I'm wondering what type of holser will cause the least amount of wear on it, Kydex or leather. Most of my stuff gets carried/stored in nice leather, so I don't have much experience with the kydex stuff, other than mag holders. The gun that I had refinished will not be a daily carry piece, but a range weapon, and all the holster is for is to transport it, with the occasional carry in mind. What wear on my new finish the least? CB |

Leather will generally cause less wear than Kydex. There are some Kydex holsters available with suede or similar lining that are much easier on the finish. I don't know who offers one offhand, though I think Safariland might. Another option is nylon, like those from Bianchi and Desantis. |
