So, I just had a pistol refinished in a cool looking camo pattern and I'm wondering what type of holser will cause the least amount of wear on it, Kydex or leather.  Most of my stuff gets carried/stored in nice leather, so I don't have much experience with the kydex stuff, other than mag holders.
The gun that I had refinished will not be a daily carry piece, but a range weapon, and all the holster is for is to transport it, with the occasional carry in mind.

What wear on my new finish the least?

Leather will generally cause less wear than Kydex.  There are some Kydex holsters available with suede or similar lining that are much easier on the finish.  I don't know who offers one offhand, though I think Safariland might.

Another option is nylon, like those from Bianchi and Desantis.

How about some pics of the gun, fr00tie!

Is this a carry gun?  If so, you're just going to have to accept finish wear as a natural outcome.  Even nice soft leather holsters will eventually wear on finish a little.

Kydex will wear off the paint much more quickly than leather will.
