| No but I agree with your sentinents entirely... It is one thing to have those round-indicative "pin-holes" drilled into PISTOL mags, but having a gaping hole where twigs, pocket lint, tobacco crumbs, etc can enter & clog the works is an entirely different matter. |
| Both my 228s came with them. When I got my first one I was told they were factory mags but thought they might have been switched with aftermarket mags. After I got my second 228 I figured since I got it from a diffrent dealer and got the same mags I knew they must be factory. I use em for range only mags because I dont like the big slots either. One thing about em though. Both my sigs will not drop the older style mags when empty but will drop these free when empty. Kinda like the DF and NDF Glock mags. |

Well, they're OEm factory mags for the 226. It's marked Sig226 9mm on one side of the mag with a slotted hole on the other. It comes wrapped in their SIG/Hammerli bags with 'Made in Germany' all over the bag. I got these about 15 years ago... direct from SIG, when they were $18 each ~nb |
Mine are slotted on both sides and do not have sig anywhere on em but otherwise look like yours. |
