Well it seems I really messed up this weekend, no it didn't involve turkey. I decided it was time to disassemble and clean the MKII. I read the instructions on disassembly, I thought I remembered them. Evidently I didn't. OK, here's what I did and what happened:
Removed mag, pulled back bolt, checked, closed and pulled trigger
released mainspring housing latch, swung out and down the housing, pulled out the pin and housing
-here's where I messed up I think-
attempted to withdraw the bolt (didn't point the barrel up) it only moved maybe 1/2 an inch.....
realized I screwed up, figured I'd put it back together and try again
put the pin through the reciever (about to mess up again) swung the housing back in (didn't point the barrel down to line up the hammer link).
Now the mainspring will only swing out maybe 3/8 of an inch.
The whole works is now SNAFU! The bolt only moves a little, same with the mainspring housing.
Can I undo this?

edit- I talked to Ruger customer service yesterday afternoon, they gave me a procedure to use and sure enough it did.  The thing literally fell apart in my hands.  Thanks for looking.

What happened is that the hammer was up and the arm that the mainspring pushes on probably got stuck behind one of the crosspins, happened to me the first time too.

You should be able to pull downward on the MSH to remove it, point the pistol down, pull the trigger

make sure the little arm is above the crosspin and not binding, point up and back and pull trigger again

look at the back again, the arm should be over the crosspin now

you should then be able to slide the bolt out, and remove the receiver...
