i have a walther p99 and love it. I got my hands on a 92fs hicap for free today. I found with some very minor modification it functions perfectly in the p99.

Had to shorten the feed lips and cut a mag catch notch on the side. Also cut a small recess in the back top of the mag where the slide strips the first round.

It also still function in a berreta. I found the hicaps for around 12.00 niw. Much better than the 55.00+ for walther mags.

Yow.

Most excellent.  I need to grab a few FS mags and try it.  This would hold 15 rounds in the Walther, correct?

And how does it seat in the handle.  Flush or ??

I am interested.

my p99 is a .40. I get 11rnds in it. But yes it is a 15rnd mag.

The base of the mag sits about 1/2 inch past the end of the grip. It really doesn't look that bad, and conceals as well as the factory mag.

Part of the conversion involves shaving down the feed lips a small amount. That might loose you one rnd but i doubt much more.

So far i have cycled this mag about 50 times with zero failures. I found that getting the mag catch cut was the tricky part. Start small and open it up until it catches with little effort. If i get some time tomorrow i will try to post a pic or 2.

ps. yes it drops free

I wonder if you would need to trim the feed lips for a 9mm P99?

Must get my friends, and see...

Pssst, Slayer,

Don't let everyone know, but I think the 92FSC mags will fit practically flush.

I tried it out today.  I haven't cut the notch for the mag catch (well, I still have an FSC don't I?).  So I'm not certain of feed and function.  But it slid right in there and looked almost natural.  13 rounds instead of 15 but the fit is probably much better.

Now to find someplace selling berreta mags online.
