My buddy is into the 2011s. He has a couple Staccatos, the Kimber, and the SIG. Not surprising, the Staccatos are fantastic. The Kimber is no slouch, but I was surprised that I liked the SIG better. The triggers on the Staccatos are better, but it’s marginal. I actually thought the SIG shot flatter. All nice guns, TBH. Although I’m a SIG fan, I’d always said SIG should stick to what they know and not do 1911s. Thought the same when they announced the P211. Not the first time, or last time, I was wrong. It’s a nice pistol. I still won’t spend that kind of money, but I’m cheap. |

I have a kimber 2k11 eclipse, gen 2 romulus comp, and a p211. What i shoot the most? The romulus. Kimber: shoots very well. It returns to zero out of the box for me. Has External extractor. MJD grip is really nice. No Issues with 1200 rds Romulus: the polished dlc is beautiful, the grip is okay, I am debating changing to the MJD grip or doing epoxy/carbide to factory grip. Return to zero is good out of the box. No issues over 3000 rounds. Optic plate comes loose, I think the dlc on the threads stops the loctite from gripping. Next time I will run a tap through the holes and see if that helps. P211: I am not a sig guy and the 320 it ends today put a bad taste in my mouth. But the sig appeals to me for a few reasons. Does not use 2011 mags. External extractor. Metal grip module. The good no matter my grip out of the holster the grip safety is always engaged. The light recoil spring is junk. Not only does it not have enough spring to reliably cycle the gun after 150-200 rds the return to zero was terrible. The heavier factory spring real helped cycling and return to zero. P211: screw for optic plate was cross threaded from factory All three i messed with the factory triggers. The romulus trigger came out the best. 2nd p211 still as a series 80 then the kimber. Return to zero is bill drill at 10 yards all in A zone. The p211 is too heavy for idpa without mods I only shoot super vel 124 tmj through all the guns so I can't talk about if they are ammo sensitive. |

I'll be using it in a run and gun next month. The only downside is the cerakote durability isn't super great, but you draw a lot and run a lot with it and it just is what it is. |

Just got my Platypus back from being ported/comped by Impact Machine. Took it for a range session with the 211s. It now shoots just as flat as the Sigs even though it is significantly lighter. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |
