If a 147 grn 9mm at 1000 FPS is the hammer of Thor then a 165 grn. 40 at 1200 fps must a lightening bolt from Zeus!

It's hard to beat a 1911 with a flat MSH. Most comfortable though would probably be the P320 X10 grip. Here is one that I cut back the dust cover to "carry" length to use with a 3.9" .45acp slide. Attached File |

Old guy here. 1911 was the first handgun I ever held, and to this day, it just feels “right”. Of the plastic framed strikers, I would say the FN 509 is really nice, as is the CZ P09. M&P is very comfortable also. DA/SA, I would go CZ. Revolvers, it’s tough to beat a K frame with Ahrends. ETA- working on a 1911 bobtail conversion right now, and it seems sweet. |

Despite my 6’ 200 lb somewhat athletic frame, I have medium-sized hands at best. My P365 XL and Kahr K9 pistols have a small enough girth that I get a fantastic grip on either. I can certainly hold and shoot my 5906 S&Ws, but I don’t have the control I get it the smaller grips of the 365 or Kahr. |

For me, the 1911 is THE most perfectly ergonomic and comfortable pistol I've ever put my hands on. Others I find especially comfortable..... Any non Vertec Beretta 92 with the more modern relieved backstrap HK USP45 HK PSP CZ75SA (the non SA variants have the trigger a touch too for forward for me) Sig P228/P229 Sig 225 Browning BHP Walther P5 For me, I've learned, comfort does not necessarily equate to capability / performance. Years ago, I had picked up a Sig P225. It is one the most perfectly comfortable pistols I've ever held, yet, I couldn't get a good group out of it to save my life. Same with the Browning BHP and Walther P5. Yet, the blocky nature of the Glock works for me considerably better. It allows a much more confident grip vs the perfect contours of others. For whatever reason, the early Sig 320 frames, S&W M&P's, XD's, Walther PPQ... I find difficult to shoot well also. The very rounded grips have my resetting my grip a lot, vs the blocky Glocks allow me a confident purchase on the grip through multiple strings of fire. |

My favorite is the P30 series, whether LEM V1 or V3. I added Gray Guns flat triggers, SRS, and Lazy Wolf 11 pound main springs on all of them, and on the two V3’s added Lazy Wolf Spartan V2 hammers. Best gun to shoot and the best one that fits my hand, even though I own 50 plus handguns to include Staccato’s. Attached File Attached File |
