| Has anyone ever used one of these western 15rd magazines in there 1911? do they work or are they junk? |
| I have one. i tihnk it's made by USA. IT's not bad. I usually get at least one jam. IF you load 15 rounds, spring pressure is tight as hell. MAkes the 1911 look kinda like a MAC-10. Personally, it's fun to mess around with, but i would not use it where a jam may mean losing life or limb. |

1911Greg- Early in WW1, there was no way to really mount a firearm on an aircraft, let alone a firearm to do this with.. Make do methods involved everything from grappling hooks on wires, to shotguns, to dropping grenades... One that was semi standardized was the 20 round mag, and a wire frame brass catcher.. This was the primary defensive weapon for that aircraft A 1911, and a few 20 round mags...Cumbersome? compared to a 12 gauge shotgun? Downright compact.. The advent of aircraft intended for air to air combat and lightweight machineguns coupled to synchronization systems, (instead of civillian models pressed into service as observers) killed the need for such oddities..
