First run was with my 3" m10. Then 4 runs with my g19/rds Bearcamp 6/8 stage 2 4.40  5.10 4.31 5.16 4.83 I know the revolver wasnt holstered but i actually think starting at the low ready facing the stop plate was slower than facing the first plate coming from the holster |

Holosun EPS would be my choice if you want enclosed. also check out: - Trijicon RMR - Holosun SCS (direct mounts to MOS. Use standard sights) Aimpoint COA looks awesome but is a package deal only at the moment. Aimpoint ACRO has been unimpressive imo. |

If needed, tape over the red dot lens so it forces you to focus on the target with both eyes open. Use a small enough target that it is completely covered by the blue tape. |

Any advice? If you are like me, I was always looking for the dot, i.e. front sight mentality I learned on. Once I realized I needed to look at the target and not the dot, there was the dot magically. YMMV. Still gets me occasionally |

For me this caused the dot to be out of the window when I pressed out, and I'd have to cant the pistol down to make the dot appear. I have the new Kiral RAB - Reduced Angle Backstrap - on mine, and its made the dot much more intuitive to find as I just press out and the dot is in the window within my natural wrist alignment. https://kiraldefense.com/product/glock-backstraps/

I am a converted dot guy. Tried a few times and ended up removing & selling. Then gave them a real try and practiced a good bit. Now I only want optics ready handguns. My wife even likes them now after she finally gave it a try. She did a hell of a lot better than I did her 1st time using a dot.

OpticGuard had an interesting black friday sale, with their optic covers and ard on sale. I just wanted something to protect the optics a bit, but am certainly curious to see if the ard can help with astigmatism as it blocks indirect light. In theory, you could run a lower brightness on the dot, so the astigmatic errors are less pronounced. The covers themselves are pretty well made, some kind of polymer TPU but the snap snugly onto the optics, with the ard being inserted prior to clipping the cover on so it retains. I'll be hitting the range next weekend to find out.

How do Acro P2 owners feel about them? I was weighing the options for a new handgun/optic combo. I’ve shot a lot of dots on other handguns, including the RMR, SRO, and a couple Holosun options. This would be going on a Glock 19 and would be a general use pistol, not necessarily for carry. |
