this may sound silly because in the name the Single Action Army implies that it is single action only, I was just curious if anyone knows if anyone makes a handgun with the SAA look but is DA?

Colt made one but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it.  I think it was the lightning.  It was made shortly after the SAA.

colt actually made three different guns with the single action army profile but in double action-
a medium frame size 38 long colt DA called the lightning
a gun in 41 colt cal called the thunderer
both of the above with a birds head style grip.
they also made a very large frame called the 1878 double action- some of these were purchased by the US gov't for use in the phillipines but sometimes referred to as an alaskan model due to the large trigger guard which made shooting with gloves much easier. they are referred to as model of 1902. 1878 guns were in calibers as small as 32/20 or as large as 476 webley.

The early Colt DAs were prone to breakage, they are mainly collectors curiosities now. 1877 is the year on them. High Standard made a series of .22 revolvers in the 60s and 70s that appeared to be SAA type weapons but were all double action.
