Any recommendations to remove copper fouling?

Thinking of trying JB bore cleaner?

Edit: Just to add it is Copper and lead fouling buildup not just copper.

Sweets 7.62

I can't recall anyone using it in a pistol though.

Is your pistol not shooting as well as it did?

In a pistol not needed.

Any cleaner that uses mechanical action to remove copper I would be cautious in using it. Churn butter on the barrel and it will shoot for shit.

I would stick to cleaners like  butches bore shine, 7.62, etc...

I have had very good results with Pro-Shot Copper Solvent.

Push a soaking wet patch through, let it soak for 5 minutes, then scrub with a brush.

repeat until fouling is gone.

Almost any bore cleaner will handle copper fouling, some just take a longer soak than others copper specific solvents are best, but even Hoppes #9 will get it with a long enough soak.

Almost no bore cleaner will really touch lead fouling. Heavy lead fouling is best removed with a piece of all copper Chore Boy wrapped around a bore brush until you get a very tight fit in the bore and then run through dry.

That old myth keep
Pushing patches through until they come out clean is pure nonsense.
If it is clean enough to function and shoot accurately going beyond that clean offers nothing but a waste of your time effort and cleaning supply budget.
One of the big issues that refuses to die in regards to gun cleaning comes from:
1) brainwashed military vets that were subjected to white glove inspection clean is the only standard
2) old timers who were brought up when corrosive priming was standard and as a result cleaning the same day as firing was required to prevent rust
These old timers then taught a new generation to clean right away every time you fire , even if just a few shots etc.
Neither one or two are going to make your gun shoot any better than a five minute cleaning job with proper attention to critical areas

I wipe off all of the parts and clean the feedramp and chamber.  No need for anything else.  Atlas Gunworks has a good video about cleaning handguns on YouTube.

This was me. I eventually learned otherwise. Now I clean every 1000 rounds field stripping, wiping everything off, and running a Boresnake through the bore. That's it.

I use either Wipe Out or Patch Out.

It's the same stuff but Wipe Out is the foam and Patch out is the liquid.

It will not harm the steel or cause pitting.  Some copper cleaners will, so be careful.
