I know theres a ton of variables to take into account, but what should be the round life of a new all steel quality made 1911?

With a well made quality 1911 comprised of quality parts one can expect a gun to go many 10s of thousands of rounds before anything major needs replacing. Slides and frames, if properly maintained, will literally last forever and it is not too uncommon to hear of a 1911 with 100K rounds through it.

I personally have a gun with over 30,000 rounds down range and probably as many dry fires and to this day the only parts that have needed replacement were springs and one MSH pin.
