If I bought a glock 20 could I buy an aftermarket barrel for .40 and not have to change mags, extractor or ejector ? Are there potent factory loads out there ? Thanks.

Yes in fact you can also add a 357Sig barrel along with the 40. DoubleTap and Underwood for ammo.

There are plenty of .40 barrels out there. I'd start with Lone Wolf.
There are some smaller ammunition manufacturers out there that crank out good, hot 10mm (Buffalo Bore and Double Tap are two)
