A little backstory...

I've been CCW'ing for a little over a decade. I started with a HK USPc in.40 s&w. it was great for 9 months of the year in Montana. A few years back, I wanted something a little lighter, so I went with a G26. The Glock was so damn natural that I fell in love, and while a little easier to conceal, it was still a little to chunky for me to feel comfortable concealing in mixed company during the height of summer. I always had to dress around the gun. Sometimes conspicuously so, but I am probably my own worst critic in that regard.

I saw the Ruger LCP w/Lasermax on PSA last week for $279.99. I had a free shipping coupon, and my FFL is $15 transfers, so figured what the hell.

This little piggy is sweet. I plan to run a couple hundred rds of Fiocchi 95gr FMJ through it then load it with Hornady XTP as my EDC gun for June-August when I'm most often in shorts/t-shirt. Bought a Desantis Superfly pocket holster and a spare mag.

I had hesitations about .380, but considering I wasn't carrying the G26 90% of the time during the summer, I figure this is better than nothing. Especially at <$300 after transfer.

ETA: I don't know what PSA has done with their shipping dept, but I hope they keep it up. Of two orders in 3 weeks, both have arrived within 3 business days.

I have carried one iwb for 5 or 6 years I think.  Friends make fun of me for carrying a .380, then I ask to see their ccws.  Surprisingly they don't have them on because they are to bulky or heavy.

LCP isn't too bad of a gun for what it is.  Sights are non-existent, trigger is horrific but mine goes bang every time.  I carry it when I can't carry a real gun.

Edit for spelling

I want to like these small 9mm Kurz pistols but my giants hands just do not work in this application.

No pics OP?

re: LCP sights... a piece of 1/8" keyway stock, trenched and silver soldered, and repurposed 1911 take off rear,  shortened and notch opened is a couple hours work, but makes the LCP much more shootable....I can, however, shoot my G42 a lot quicker and more accurately

This. They slightly improved the sights and the trigger is a good deal better.

I picked up one last year and it's been a 100% with approx 400 rounds and six different types including the Lehigh Defense which apparently doesn't work well with some .380's. I was surprised with the accuracy of this little gun.

Been CCW my LCP for a while now.

Crimson trace laser grips and hogue grips and extra power recoil springs and stainless steel guide rod.
All have helped dampen down the snappiness of the LCP.

That's a really good deal on a nifty little pocket pistol. Mine has had some growing pains out of the box but is getting better. Be sure to put a few hundred round down range before carrying it.

At the price you got yours for, I am assuming it is the blued slide version. Lazyengineer and myself have experience issues with our stainless slide versions which are all documented in the Ruger sub-forum. If you experience any issues, check out our threads on our LCPs and you may find a solution in one of them.

I hope yours is 100% out of the box and you don't have to fiddle with it.

Anyways enjoy your new gun, bud!

Any issues with FTE with the higher power recoil spring?

I had one, bad sights bad trigger.  Isn't the LC9 not much bigger than the LCP?  The striker fired version has a better trigger and no dumbass safeties.

I used to pocket carry my G26 before my PM9.  Dress around the gun.
