Guys,

My brother, myself, and our best friend are doing a project together.  We're getting a pistol of our choice and going to get the slides engraved with our initials and one common picture/graphic more than likely.

I have done a few google searches but figured you guys would be able to point me to one of our friends in the industry.  Anyone got an simple engraving done on their pistol? Anyone know of someone good who is reasonably priced?  Please post pictures if you had any guns done and send me any contact information/links to where I might find someone that you have heard of.

Thanks.

Was chatting with a guy that did laser engraving. One of the cadet classes at the Air Force Academy brought in a bunch of full size Sig pistols to get Air Force emblem, class number, name, ET.

The laser even on the highest power and lowest speed could barely discolor the surface on those Sig's.

So you might want to take in the finish type of the pistol into consideration. Those now blackened stainless, Nitride, ET are very tough.

I had CMT Tactical do an AR lower for me as best mans gift for my brother in law. It was like $40 or something like that and turn around was quick. Like a week if I remember correctly.

Try Bill Gray in San Antionio. Great guy, reasonable prices, and very good turnaround times. He's done some oddball work for me, so he's open to requests.

They do a lot of work milling, engraving, even refinishing pistols.  A lot of the guys who get work done will have their names engraved into them when they're done.  It's not my style, but it sounds like you may be into it if you're wanting matching pistols.
