Just came across one of them while browsing the web. Supposedly they have been around for sometime. Just wanted to know if anyone has one, and what the pro's and cons might be other then the price. From what i have read they seem to be a cross between a CZ75 a SiG and a BHP.

I have a Sphinx 3000, the more competition-oriented direct predecessor to the SDP. If the SDP is even half as well made as the 3000 it's still top of the heap of service pistols in terms of quality.
The design is based on the CZ-75 but with a large, square locking block like a SIG P220 and a plethora of minor tweaks on pretty much every part of the pistol, they've been constantly improving the design for decades. You should give it a try if you can find one, chances are you'll want one. |
| It looks like they are going to be making a large frame model of the compact which will hold 17+1. I have looked at the dealers but there isnt one in my state, so chances of me getting to hold one are going to be pretty slim unless i decide to just buy one. I do have a Cz p-01 and a Sig 220, so i am sure i am going to like the way it handles and operates. |
