I want to add a derringer to my collection. What do I need to know, aside from they suck at accuracy, and aren't fun to shoot?
I'd like something minimum .38, so I could carry it as an extreme backup assuming my first, second, and third magazine for my Glock somehow fail me in the unlikely event I need to utilize my CCW piece. |

I got a Davis back in the day. (now Cobra) They were about $78. I've had fun with it. 38spec. It gos bang every time. The worse thing is the trigger pull must be 30#? I bought it for my mother but she can't even pull the trigger.
ALWAYS REMEMBER TO PUT THE HAMMER AT HALF COCK BEFORE LOADING! |
For your scenario. I would suggest a beltsword over a small bb shooter.

Back in the late 80s got a used Davis Derringer in .25 ACP for running. Shot good till it fell apart when my sister was shooting it. Do remember the serial number for some reason, 3030 Got a American Derringer Corp. Model 7 Lightweight in .380 ACP. At 7.5 oz it does have recoil.
