I’m looking for a single shot 22lr pistol with locked action to put a suppressor on it for ultimate quietness. I’m not sure if such pistol exists but here is what I’m looking for: 1. Locked action (no slide/action to move when fired) 2. Something of “reasonable” size and weight 3. Barrel length of 3” or more that can be threaded for a can 4. No bolt action (susally too large/long) Only handgun that I can think of that comes close is the old TC Contenders with a 22lr barrel but they are too large and heavy for my purpose. I guess I can just cut the barrel back but it would be difficult to put a usable iron sights on it. Any suggestions? |
| The first suppressed pistol is the Walther P22 but the noise can be lowered even more if didn't have the noise of the slide operating. Bolt action rifles are real quiet when suppressed but I want something much smaller. Locked action 22lr handgun in moderate size is what I'm looking for. |
