Them wacky foreigners.  It says Made in Italy, but I believe the design is Russian.

Oh great...Another Caracal to welcome into IPSC...

Did anyone else see the "integral miniskirt"?

Not seeing anything revolutionary that has not be accomplished by Glock, Sig, S&W, HK, SA, Walther just way uglier than all the rest.

Interesting gun, uses a falling block to lock the barrel

Oh, a polymer framed double stack Walther P5?

I'll stick with the original.

Similar to Walther / Beretta, but not quite the same.

I'll buy one if they bring 'em in.

Depending on the price I will too.

I saw and posted that vid awhile back. Interesting design and quite simple. People said the same negative things about the Caracal and a lot of people like it, although I'd rather check out the Strike One pistol instead if it ever gets imported.

Old news, do a search for "strizh". It's the new standard issue sidearm for Russian military.

The bore line being so close to the hand is the real stand-out feature.

Anybody seen one for sale anywhere yet?

*Edit*

I KNEW that grip shape looked familiar, just now read a little more about Arsenal, and saw that Massimo Tanfoglio is one of the founders, that explains that, i'm definitely interested in one of these pistols now.

Looks like Glock, Springfield, and CZ had a really ugly baby.

But if it works, it works.

Maybe a good pistol, maybe not, the market will find out soon enough.  I have 2 issues with it, though.  First, do you really want to call it "Strike One,"  or "the first miss"?  Marketing is everything in the civilian arms market, after all.  Second, what's with the ridiculous bi-pod option.  Thankfully, it's just an option, but it's almost as bad as a pistol bayonet IMO.

It's nothing like a Caracal actually.

You expect one video to show you something revolutionary? And how do you know it is or isn't revolutionary? You haven't fired one. "Ugly" is subjective, and combat pistols are not made to look pretty, so it doesn't matter.

I'll pass.

Strike 1? If you buy three of them are you out? They might as well name it something like "Wild Mountain Cat" or "Tundra Antelope with snorkel nostrils".

The Long Slide will be Strike 2, the Compact Strike 3 and the Sub Compact The Bunt.

Caliber conversion kit will be The Home Run.

Call me when it does something an M&P, Glock, or even a well worn Beretta 92 won't do.

AWESOME, they're going to offer it in 357 Sig!!!

Looks neat.  WOnder if it will handle the abuse a Glock will take.
