I thought the same question...I did for 20 feet...on my pistol at point blank range I'm about 1" off point of aim so at 10 feet I'm 1/2" low. I think in many senerios your better off having the laser sighted for more then your average distances...because at closer ranges 1" off isn't as bad as 6" off further out. Just remember because the laser is lower then bore access the longer the distance the lower your shot will be from we're the laser is pointing. If you train for it to be level with your bore axis, the only issue is you won't see the laser when using your sight picture under 5 yards. But to do this right you need a bore laser and measure the distance from bore center to laser and make a mark on a piece of paper then align from about ten feet.....I like this idea I just don't own a bore laser worth it's light.

| bought a lasermax micro for a m&p. it is stated on the instructions that it is sighted in for 10 yds. at the factory. it started off 10" to the left, and 3" high. when i adjusted it, it would jump 12" to the right. could never get it close to POA. checked the laser w/ the sights on the weapon. was way off. sent it back. but it was keyholeing the target numerous times. wished it would have worked. liked cloverleafing the target, and this was rapid fire. enjoy, practice, it will improve your shooting. a suggestion, try just using the stong hand, and see the difference. |
