Just got this, looks unfired. Paid 50 bucks.

It was 50 bucks, I just hope it shoots.

After reading about it seems it is the original Saturday night special.

Issues, can I shoot +p ammo through it without combustion?

Thanks. Crappy cell pic.

Very strongly recommend NO +P ammo.
These guns were not very strong, and while it "probably" won't blow up, it will get out of time quickly with hotter ammo.

Back in the day, "RG" was said to stand for "Rotten Gun".

They are junk.  WIth a capital J.  I'd suggest not firing it, so you can talk that point up when you sell it.

I usually think it's a crime to destroy guns.  But for RG's, there should be a bounty.

It's not worth the ammo you fire from it.  Sell it at once, to someone you don't care about.

Hold onto it until the next local "Gun Buyback" program.

That's actually a really good idea.  He would get his money back, not endanger any future buyer, and be able to kill this discrace of a gun.

Just be sure to annonce, often and loudly, about how you're going to use the money to buy another, and better, gun.

Yes, I've had a good experience with one.    I opened carried one to High School 30 years ago and no one thought a thing about it.    Everyone thought it was a toy.   Most of the others were carrying toys, but a few of us weren't.

They make excellent paper weights.

No.
My old man had one that did not fire all rounds in the cylinder.
After he died I took it apart and threw it off the end of his dock.

I've know of a few that gave good service as tackle box guns and as home or car defense guns for people who just couldn't or wouldn't afford a better gun.
In spite of the poor quality, they did at least fire, and some of the .22's were used as plinkers for years.

They were junk, but as any older cop can tell you, a lot of people, especially in big inner cities were killed or wounded by these things.

I had one just like yours. I used it for a "snake gun" and shot many rounds of shotshells through it. I also fired hundreds of standard .38 spl. rounds through it without a KABOOM. It did however have the barrel shroud work loose so the front sight could be rotated a bit, but as it was used mainly for shotshells, aiming wasn't an issue.
