OK, I'm thinking of getting a threaded barrel for my HK P9S pistol. Do I HAVE to get it threaded 1/2x36 RH? I mean, can't I get it done 1/2x28, or some other style? I basically do NOT want to get it done to where I can't use the suppressor also on my 9mm AR, which I believe is threaded 1/2x28 or 5/8x24.

And if I do have to get it threaded 1/2x36, would there be someway that perhaps an adapter could be made to allow me to use the regular suppressor on it?

You can get the barrel threaded whatever thread pattern your heart desires, I'd suggest talking to Mark Mcwillis: http://www.trosusa.com/
He does some amazing things with threading and adapters, to ease some of your concerns about letting him work on your P9 its one of his favorite personal guns to shoot suppressed (I should know I tried to buy it from him and he very politely refused  )
