i have a sig sauer sp2022 and was wondering if dry firing it will cause me any proubles.would like to practice drawing and fireing at home

You shouldn't have a problem, unless your firearm has a defect.

Use snap caps or dummy shells to give the firing pin something to contact.

Enough dryfire will break any gun.

If you do serious dryfire practice it's a good idea to use good quality snap-caps like AZooms. It's cheap insurance.

Other than .22lr's I don't have a need for range queens that can't be dry fired.

Also IMO snap caps are dangerous, chances of a ND go up big time for people that use them.
No rounds or snap caps are anywhere near my gun and chamber when I dry fire.

I dry fire EVERY handgun I own other than .22s or a few of the C&Rs.

Dry fire at will. It WILL improve your shooting over time.

I disagree with snap caps. My concern would be mixing one up with a live round by accident. Plus I don't feel they are needed or do anything beneficial. YMMV.
