i have been without a handgun for 9 months now...money issues are keeping me from being able to purchase a pistol but i am thinking its time to find one again.
i am looking for a decent conceal carry revolver or pistol in a common caliber such as 9mm, 45acp, 357 magnum it needs to be less than 300$ are there any that fit this bill? cant be to small either i have big gorilla hands! |

One of the most inexpensive pistols Ive ever bought, Kahr CW9, I would compare it to $900 9mm's out there, better than any glock Ive seen for sure You get a lot for your money with tis pistol, save up another few bucks, and throw it in your pocket... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=272056296 |

At that price, you are going to be limited to three categories:
1) Surplus pistols like the FEG PA63, Polish P64, Tokarev, CZ-82 etc. Many of these will be chambered in something uncommon, but you may be able to find a .380 among them. 2) New Kel-Tec, Bersa, Charter Arms, Diamondback, etc. 3) Used S&W Sigma, Ruger P-series, etc. I would lean toward category 3, personally. |

If you look hard, you may be able to find a used LEO trade in Glock for $300.
If you aren't against revolvers, take a look at these. S&W 64 trade in from NYPD. I picked one up, and it was pristine. They come DAO, with bobbed hammers, 4" barrel, and stainless. Put some Gold Dots in it, and you have a very capable platform. $279.99
ETA- If it matters to you, they are also all pre-lock. |

Sarco had some surplus P228s starting at $275 in a recent flyer... they won't be pretty but they'll probably be in OK mechanical shape. Might be worth a call to see if they still have some in stock. A CZ82 is a good choice as well... there are more choices for quality ammo now, although you may have to DIY the holster. I have bigger hands myself, and mine is very comfy. It should be very easy to find a used J-frame in that price range, and there are plenty of choices for grips that'll work with large hands. You can also get a NIB Ruger P95 from Bud's for $300 shipped... don't let appearances fool you, it's roughly the same size as a G19. |

Cz 82 if you have to.
Best to save all you can and get into a used Glock I like my Hungarian hi power clone. It was cheap but lacks features such as a safety I could quick click off that would make me want to carry it. Tho I do trust it enough it use it in a pinch if I had to. It was like $250 Probably find an ex-cop s&w 3rd gen semi auto in that range too |
