I have a Kimber Compact Stainless  www.kimberamerica.com/compact.php

I'm looking for some new grips but don't know what size to get.  Is my gun considered a Commander style?  Does my gun take smaller than full sized 1911 grips?  Or are they the same grips?  Thanks.

If it's a 7 or 8 rd mag, it's full size. If it's 6 rd size (OACP) then it's not.

The Kimber Compact has shorter grips, by about half an inch.

Officer style, maybe?

It's got a 7rd mag.  4 inch barrel.  I guess I'll just have to take it with me to the store and compare with packages of grips.
