Sorry if this is a dupe, but I've never seen it before.

I was going to put this in the Browning or FN sub-forum, but I thought more people would see it here.

Not sure how to post a hot link.....

Interesting concept, but I prefer all-steel.

Read about this on Stephen's site a couple of years ago.

Not only will this frame not be imported from SA, but Stephen is now gone.

Yeah, I saw that they couldn't be imported here, it was just one of those.....whoda thunkit kind of items.

I'm sorry to hear that about Mr. Stephen, I've just stumbled onto his site and writings.

Happened a few months ago. He signed my copies of his books and we e-mailed a couple of times over the last three years.

Leaving aside the fact that it looks uglier than a mud fence, something like that would have been a welcome evolutionary step for the BHP, had it been embraced by FN.   It would have nullified several complaints about the platform and put it on a competitive footing with the polymer wondernines.

That's kinda what I was thinking too. I was wondering if this may solve some of the frame durability problems some seem to have had.
(If the switch from old forged to new cast hadn't already)

See, this is how you take a thing of beauty and turn it butt fuckin ugly.  Sort of like Britney Spears when she fell in with Federline and company.

I don't remember really being that much cheaper to go with plastic either. At least not retail wise.

That's just so wrong.

I've seen many ways to destroy a classic and this is right up there.  Put on new sights, modify the trigger, whatever....  Just leave the classic looks of the BHP alone.

You're right.  If you are going to make the new frame, add the rail, too.
