| ANyone hear of these??? good?? bad?? |
| They're good guns, but you have to make sure you get the version that uses the BHP parts on the inside. For some reason they designed a second version of the FEG that uses a S&W type of barrel lockup, and the parts aren't interchangeable between the types of this pistol. |

I have a K.B.I. PJK-9HP. It shoots great. Here is a site on the FEG. http://feghp.blogspot.com/ |

I have one. Perfectly happy with it. Bluing is as nice as anything I own. Internals a bit rough. I won't say they're as nice as a "real" Hi Power but I only paid 250 for mine. FEG is out of business but standard Hi Power parts will work, perhaps with a bit of fitting.
Good guns. |

I had the model named P9R I believe. It was the bastardized mix of a high power and a S&W. It shot fine for years but then I started having problems with the magazines and nose dive failure to feeds with any hollow point or ball ammo. I ordered new BHP magazines...... they would fit but were not tall enough to let the breech face strip a round from the magazine to chamber it. I couldn't find the correct magazines for it. At that point I decided to never again buy a pistol that wasn't mass produced and in circulation like Glocks, M&P's, 1911's etc. I sold it and bought a Beretta 92. I was sad to sell it since it was my first pistol I had my dad purchase on my behalf at 16.
OP, if your going to buy a FEG make sure its a hi-power clone and hi-power parts will fit or can be easily modified to fit in it. Otherwise, just save up and buy a nice Argentine clone or a Browning. You will be happy you did. |

I have many handguns, HK, Glock, sig, and so on..
Just know someone who has one and thought about trading him a ruger 22 mk 2 for it.... Just be a dick around gun. Quoted:

Just be a dick around gun If you are getting the actual Hi-Power clone then it would be a very good 'dick around gun' I bought one several years ago to test some very hot 9mm handloads and figured if I blew it up, no big deal. Well, it didn't blow up, fired off everything I fed it with reliability and was decently accurate to boot. Spare parts and magazines interchange between it and the genuine article and the finish is well done and durable too. I won't hesitate to recommend one of these guns. |

It would be cool for even more serious use as long as its the true Hi-Power clone since magazines will be interchangeable and parts can be easily bought and modified for it. Just stay away from the P9R like in my previous post and it will be good for just about anything. |

I've owned two of them. First one was a PJK from Kassner. Damn fine shooting handgun. It was as accurate as my BHP.
It had a real fine blue finish. It got stolen back in the late eighties. Second one was also a PJK from some other importer. Sold it a while back to finance another purchase. All in all, they are good guns as a clone for half the price of a BHP. I now own a BHP hard chrome , so no need for a clone. |

I keep looking for an FEG at local shows, but never see one anymore. Nice looking pistol. Same here.....I've seen a couple at the larger shows, but the sellers want $500-600.00, for them. I'll pay a couple hundred more for a true BHP before I spend that on a clone. |

Gave $250 for mine and after several years of hating the way it shot, finally worked it over to be more user-friendly.

| i had an FEG GKK .45, it is kind of a cross between a hi power and a sw auto. The bluing was actually pretty nice, and it was a solid piece. i had a few malfunctions on the first range trip, cleaned her up and polished the feed ramp, it was 100% from then on. that is one of the few guns i really regret selling, it was a steal at $175, i bought it "used" ,but it still had the factory grease and looked like it hadn't been fired yet. trigger was gritty, but it was reliable and was a nice shooter. |

Well shot it yesterday. And my friend bhp. Couldnt tell a difference. Shoots as well as my other guns...happy with the trade. Quoted:
@ Ken-Mays, I may have said it before in another thread, that Hi-power clone is the nicest one I've ever seen. Hell, I'd have no problem ccw-ing that. |
