I bought 2 8 inch circles from wideners.
I planned on making a stand for them that allows them to hang freely. Is there a preferred method of setting these up? I know allowing them to get pitted is dangerous, that glasses are required (always), what else do I need to know? |

I just ordered three 6 inch plates from them I'm going to drill some hooks into a standing 2x4 and just let them hang on the hooks. I shoot a USPSA match twice a week that has steel targets there is nothing special to do while shooting them except make sure to always have eye pro on splatters do happen from time to time. |
| Every plate I shoot at in my back yard is slightly angled down. I've had people out that shot .308, .223, and all handgun calibers. Nobody has ever been hit with splatter of any sorts. Hell, one guy was shooting a .308 at 15 yards without issue. I go to my first steel plate match and the first guy up to shoot gets hit in the face by a piece of jacket. |

Splatter is really common at steel plate matches. I get hit all the time but nothing more then a sting. Sometimes shit will bounce over from other ranges and land on me but again it doesn't hurt. |

Here's some ideas for hanging your targets.
