Make a compact 10mm and .45 that is comparable to Glock 19s? It's my understanding the 20 and 21 both use the same frame, and since they have subcompact frames for both of them, I'm doubtful it'd be difficult to make... The closest thing I can think of would be a 20 cut down to accept 29 magazines with a baseplate, but that just wouldn't be the same.

Did Glock ever make a press release pertaining to this?

I doubt it.

The G29 and 30 are pretty close to G19 sized with their extended mag bases.  I do wish they would, though.

The 19 and the 29 are virtually the same size except for the width. The grip on the 19 is about 3/16" longer at the backstrap.
I don't think Glock is going to make a long barreled 29 or a short gripped 20. There's no demand.

You can buy a 20 and have the grip cut back to accept 29 mags.

The Glock 36 fits perfectly in my  G19 holster.

As said already, 36s fit 19/23/32 holsters pretty well. And 29/30s are virtually the same dimensionally as the 19/23/32 except for their width.

What I wish they would do, though I'm sure there's not the demand, is make the 29/30 with a full length grip and flush magazines. I just don't like the setups where the pinky rest is a mag baseplate instead of the frame of the gun.

I don't think any of this will ever happen.

The Glock 29 and the Glock 19 are not "virtually the same size except for the width." The Glock 19 is about half an inch taller and has a little bit longer barrel. As per the no demand comments, I believe the .45 ACP Glocks are pretty popular, and given that the 10mm and .45 Glocks share the same frame, the compact Glocks would share the same frame and the "undesirable" 10mm would piggyback off of the compact .45.

You can't make a 10mm/.45ACP frame the same size as a 9mm/.40 frame. That's a major reason why the 10mm got shitcanned for the .40.

The 29/30 is as close as Glock can get.

G19 length = 6.85"
G30 length = 6.77"
= virtually the same

G19 height = 5.00"
G30 height = 4.76" (this is without the magazine in place)
= put the mag in place, and again, virtually the same

I've owned both at the same time. I've compared them. But whatever.

Use the same grip angle as the 1911?

I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice....as Flynn Rider would say
I don't understand how you can say that the 19 and 30 is not close to the same size either. I have both, they are my two favorite models of Glocks. I assure you that they are so similar in size that there is no way to build a .45 any closer. I keep hearing this over and over about how people want a 19 size .45, I am telling you, the 29/30 set up is very close. It is only 2mm thicker. It is a little heavier, but I attribute that to the ammo.

See, that's what I'm saying! Agree completely.

The "SF" models were their concession to folks who felt the frames were too thick on the G29-30.

If you have to break out the micrometer to find differences, then you're just a contrarian #u@& wad.

If you think Glock is going to make something 'in between', don't hold your breath.

If you are going to go smaller than G29/30 you really should scale back the cartridge to be efficient.  Personally I'd rather have an G27/G23 than anything compact in 10MM......performance wise you wound't know the difference.

The only thing I can really add is that at the range one time we all kept mixing up the G19 and the G36. They are pretty close to the same size. For some reason though I hated shooting the 36 and I don't think I would be interested in a sub-compact in either of those calibers. I don't see what the 10mm would do that a 40 wouldn't with a short barrel either.

Off the self 10mm loads are not significantly more powerful than .40 loads. Especially out of a compact/sub-compact barrel.

Yea, the 36 is very close in width and size as a 19. The 36 to me is a little too narro in the grip and feels more like a 1x4 to me. I prefer the 30, plus I get more ammo and that is always good.

About 4 months ago an Airforce PJ who was sent to Glock to be an armorer said on GT  that a Glock rep confirmed that a single stack 45 ACP fullsize was being manufactered and was being field tested with a very large police department.
