| Im thinking of picking a PM9 up for the wife. What are you guys opinions of them? I held one and she held one and it seemed to be a solid pistol. Let me know what you all think........... |
|
I have had my PM-9 for 3 years and it's a great little pistol.I think it's fun to shoot maybe a little snappy but it's a well made accurate pistol with a good feeling trigger.
People on this site have been talking about GT Distributors favorably lately so I looked at there website and found the PM-9 for $519.00 ,best price I have seen ,thinking about picking up another.http://www.gtdist.com/ProductDetail.aspx?PartNumber=KAHR-PM9093 Buds has them for $600.00. |

Take a look at the CM9.
Same as the PM9, but with a few "cheaper" production methods (More simple machining cuts, pinned front sight, standard lands and groove barrel (not polygonal rifled) etc. It knocks the cost down. "Flyer" detailing the differences: http://www.kahr.com/PDF/CM9093r2.pdf I'm a fan of my PM9. It's great at what it does. However, it's not a super fun gun to shoot due to it's size. My wife likes shooting the S&W air-weights more, and she shoots them better to boot. |

I have the stainless slide version of the PM9 with the CT laser grip in a nemesis holster that they make for this combo.
It also has BIG DOT night sights, and a custom grip tape kit. I carry it in my right front pocket. It is a tough gun to master but it is more than accurate and reliable. You have to train. The main issue that you will have is that it is difficult for dainty women to charge the weapon. The recoil spring is very stiff and has to be so for such a pistol. The laser helps, in that the bullet goes where the laser is pointed every time. Buy a 9mm boresighter. I love my PM9 and feel naked without it. |

| I've really been thinking about switching out my MK9 for one of these. The PM9 is thinner, lighter and the front strap/back strap provides a much better gripping surface than the slick MK9. I would slap one of those Crimson Trace trigger guard lasers on it in a heartbeat. |

Fellas thanks for the advice! What ammo do you all carry? I was thinking maybe 100gr corbon? POWRBALL? I'm interested in that round cause the KAHR is what I carry in crowds, cause people are bumping into me a lot. yep either the powrball or the 95gr DPX. Ive never shot any but the reviews seem to be pretty nice. I carry a HK 9USPc and I feed it Gold Dots. |

Why would you need Powerball in this situation over another load (Gold Dots, HST...)? |

I figured that the 95gr/100gr wouldnt be as hot and would function better in the small package pistols. |
| went to the gun show today and let my wife handle the CW9 which was a little bigger and she liked it but she also liked the XD9 subcompact so shes debating! Thanks for all of your reports fellas. Have you guys seen the new SIG 1911 Scorpion? I almost jizzed on myself when i saw it! |
