| Picked up a new SD9 from S&W. I put 150 rounds through it with no problem. It shot dead center at 15 yards. Recoil was mild and it fit my hand great. It was solid shooter. Now I need to find a holster to fit it. I will post another report next week after I qualify with it. John |

Keep an eye on the solid rollpin that goes through the frame and secures the locking block. Smith had a run of those pins a little undersized, mine started backing out on me after 50 rounds or so. As for holsters, I picked up a leather holster for the sigma, it fit fine. You said you were going to qualify with it, will you be carrying it as a LEO? |
| Yes I am a Police Officer. Also the range instructor so I try to qualify with everything I have. I plan on carrying it for court or off duty. It is really light. My pin on mine is a roll pin not solid. I will give another report on it Thursday as I plan on running some rounds through it at the range. |
| A roll pin? Mine has a roll pin on the back, but the pin just behind the take down levers was the one I was talking about. Smith said they replaced all the pins on mine but the solid one was the only one to back out on me. It seems to be a rare thing, at least couldnt find any other instances on the internet. |
They did send me an extra mag for my troubles
Like I said, other than that it was very accurate, the trigger is decent and it fits my hand like it was made just for me. About the only complaint I had was that is seemed kind of slick, I found my roll of grip tape so thats fixed now. |

Thank you for posting your AAR and keeping us updated; these pistola's are
definately catching my eye. These are what the Sigma SHOULD have been. The one's I fondled at the fun store sure looked and felt nice. The .40 was whispering in my ear.........................."buy me, Papaw, please." |

I have over 500 rounds through mine so far, the trigger is smooting out and seems to be lighter in weight. I think for the money its a hell of a value. If you go with the .40 you may want to pick up a houge sleeve for the thing. That would be a bitch to hold onto

The S&W website says 0.9mm for the caliber on every listing.
How does this kind of thing slip thru with a company the size of S&W? Smith .9mm I have a Smith and it has been flawless but this makes me wonder about the quality.... |

Yeah because I'm sure the guys who run the website are the same guys in the back building the weapons.... |
