I'm waiting for my LCP to come back from CCR, which is my pocket gun. But being that I'm always looking for new ways to spend money, I have a question for you guys...
Is a conversion barrel to convert the LCP from .380 to .32 NAA worth it? I've looked into it, and the .32 NAA is just a .380 casing bottlenecked down to a .32 bullet. Magazines shouldn't be a problem, being it would be like a .40/.357 SIG setup. I have no background with that round, so figured I'd see how people feel that do. |

If I find that the .32 NAA is better than the .380 in the role that I need it for, I'd consider moving to it... but that was not my intention.
I like conversions, as well as other things to make my collection unique. I have my Beretta, which has two slides as well as the reproduction SGS compensator (finished to match the set). I've been hunting a .40 conversion barrel for my S&W 1006. |

If you're a handloader, just FYI, I found the round to be a bastard to reload. Without changes to my dies, one batch would have sufficient crimp that the very heavy recoil spring in the NAA Guardian wouldn't mash the bullet into the case, and then every round in the next would plunge into the case. With a rifle-style crimping die, it would have worked fine. But that stupid combination seating/crimping die just wasn't doing it right. I wound up selling the gun and dies as a lot on Gun Broker, because I don't want to have a gun I can't shoot when the cartridge finally dies. Since not one other gun manufacturer has produced a factory gun in that cartridge, and not one other ammunition manufacturer has made ammunition, that round is going to die eventually.
It also has a short case neck, so accurate reloading may be tricky. |

I got an email from Innovative Arms...
I asked a few specific questions about the barrel and the round, but they told me to follow them on FaceBook. Don't have an account (a little annoyed how I email them specific questions, and nothing is touched on), but seeing that the round is as limited as .44 Automags, I figured to the hell with it. I'll put the money towards refinishing my shotgun. |
