What is the name of the timer that is used in IDPA etc matches? Is PACT correct and if so what does that stand for?

I am wanting a timer to do some training drills with a partner. I want the timer to beep to initiate the stage and give me the time elapsed when the last shot is fired. So what do I need and what am I looking for?

Also where can I find one and approx. what do they cost? Thanks!!

Thanks for the link...I went through some of my issues of Combat Handguns and couldn't find a single ad for a timer.

Are there other types besides PACT? Any advantages of one brand over another? Any experiences with these timers? Again thanks!

I might get one from Dillon Reloading, in their Blue Press catolog. Should be on their website. Just another source for you. And I have no experience with timers but do intend to get one for practice.
