I have a very nice custom HP that I would love to add a beavertail to.

Am spoiled w/ my 1911's , they all have fitted beavertails.

I looked thru the tacked pic thread and did not see a single HP w/ a beavertail.

How about it , anyone running a beavertail on their HP?

Pics would be nice

There are a few custom builders that do them.  But it's a completely different thing than a 1911 and much harder to do.  Obviously with the 1911 it's just the grip safety and new hammer.  With a HiPower, they have to weld it and blend it in.  Probably not that many people get it done because only a few people do it well.  I'm guessing.  And it's probably not cheap.  I don't get bit from my hipower, but I will from a 1911.  So for me, it's not necessary.

I think of the beaver tail on the HP kind of like the beaver tail on the Sig.  It's not necessary, so why add 3/8" + of length?

I admit some of them look good, but I'll stick with my stock frames.
