As I am loading rounds into the mag, the follower leans far enough forward that it is stuck in that position. I have to frequently slap the mag against something to get the follower to re-align itself so I can continue the loading process.

As mags are brand new, I was wondering if a break-in period is needed to alleviate this problem.

Break-in does nothing to help poorly made mags, sir.

I have 2 S African mags I got from CDNN.  Havent used them a lot but they have worked fine so far.  It would be hard to diagnose without seeing it.  Talk to the vendor & see if theyll swap you.

I have 4 South African mags and never had a problem with any of them. Like P35FAN said see if you can send it back for another mag.

You should take them apart and inspect , clean and lube the inside of the magazines and check the posistion of the springs. Even though they are new there could be crud inside or assembled out of whack.
