A time I want to made a checkering in the grip of one of my BHP´s, one friend told  that the pistols dont have enough material to support a coarse pattern checkering, so he advise me try with sandpaper, not a practical solution because as I see latter the hand perspiration disintegrate the grains.
Then I try with adhesive skateboard tape and... BINGO !!!!, it sticks perfectly to the outlines of the grip and the hand perspiration does not attacks the surface, I have used a skateboard tape with a rubber like adhesive back, maybe POWELL Brand, It does not become sticky if you want to remove it, just a few drops of alcohol wipes clean the surface

IPSC shooters have long since used skateboard tape as a cheaper alternative to checkering.

I know that, it´s easier with the 1911 grip profile, or with the DecalGrip made for the Glocks, my problem is to find a solution for a Browning High Power, Thanks Bob, SEMPER FI
