OK. So I don't want to start a ford chevy thing but would like some input.
I stopped at a local shop looking for a BHP, or copy. They had an FM $399 with 5 mags, and a Charles Daly $299 with 2 mags, both in near new condition. Despite the CD billboard on the slide, I'm a big fan of FEG's blueing, and I think I can warm to the XS sights. I'm leaning towards the CD. So, any thoughts or opinions from you HP guys? I'm thinking of pulling the trigger tomorrow. |

I scooped the CD up after work. $321 OTD. I'll take pics when I get some time. The trigger is a bit heavey, but nice and clean. I'll strip, clean and lube it for the range on Friday. Thats what I would had bought. Good price. Looking forward to the pics. The mag safety has to go. Trigger improves dramatically. |

The CD shot like a dream. Reloads and defense ammo. Not a single burp or hiccup. I'm still getting used to the XS sights, but it's easy to pick them up and get on target quickly. This thing will definitely pick up a spot in the rotation. Yup. I can't take my hands off my FEG. The gun just "feels" right. Looks right and points right too. The size always surprises me too. It's slightly larger than my G19, but carries just as well, if not better sometimes. If it had the thumb safety and trigger of a 1911, I don't think there would be any reason to own anything else. Are you going to ditch the magazine safety? |

Taking it to the range this afternoon. The bluing is worn on some of the edges, but it's in pretty nice shape for the most part. http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu119/tehgoldenboy/IMG_1322-1.jpg http://i639.photobucket.com/albums/uu119/tehgoldenboy/IMG_1321-1.jpg BTW.....those look like the discontinued Uncle Mikes rubber grips. They are one of the best HP grips i've used and worth $35-50 by themselves. I believe Charles Daly bought up the last supply of those. |

I need a little more time with it, but I am pleased with my choice. |

I like the look of wood grips on HP's, but the rubber ones on it are nice, not too sticky, or slippery. |

CDNN has a nice set of Herritt coco bolo checkered grips for something like $30 These are the Herritt grips on my FEG Hi Power. Grippy, classy, and have a nice slight palmswell to fill the hand.
