I just ordered a C&S extended safety for my FN. What's involved with fitting it? Are the included instructions clear enough?
Also, what size roll pins does the HP use? I want to clean out behind the extractor and replace the spring while I'm there. Do I need to use a new roll pin upon reinstallation? |

Some material may need to be filed off to allow the safety to block the sear from movement. If you remove too much, then a trigger press with the safety on will still allow some sear movement. A teeny tinny bit is OK, but too much can make the safety useless or allow the sear to release when the safety is disengaged.
File a little, reassemble, check and repeat. safety off
