It doesn't sound like rimlock or a feed ramp problem. My guess is that you may have a weak/broken slide stop spring (part 284). The heavy recoil of the very hot CorBon could be making the slide stop pop up if this part isn't functioning properly. It is a very easy thing to fix. KT will send you the part for free and you can fix it in 20 minutes yourself with a couple punches and a small hammer. Let me know when you get part 284 (call KT service and tell them yours is weak), then post here and I will give you directions. ETA: you will also need a log, medium/thin bladed screwdriver. |
| They will probably just drop the little spring in an envelope and mail it to you. When you get it, follow these Disassembly/Assembly Instructions as far as needed to replace the spring. Good luck, and be sure to post if it fixed the problem or not. |
