Hit the range yesterday with my newly aquired P3AT. I gotta confess, I love this little gun. It will become my 24/7 carry piece from now on. I know it's only a .380 but at least I know I will carry it all the time. It's light as a feather and you do forget it's even there. Naturally points well for me too. Anyway, back to the range: Box of 50 Winchester WinClean: 8 FTE (Happened once for every loaded mag. Usually occured on the last round in the mag. No FTF. Box of 50 Remington UMC Green box FMJ: No problems whatsoever. Every round cycled and fired and ejected without fail. This stuff kicks a bit more than the WinClean ammo above too Box of 20 Federal Home Defense hollow points: No problems experienced. Every round fired and cycled the next without failure. All round stayed within a 12" circle at 15 yards. Not bad for my first time shooting her. Did I mention this gun is just plain fun to shoot? Although I will admit I have a welt in the web of my shooting hand today from the little guns bite back. |

I have 2 of these and have been very critical about 1 and 1 is just great. My old one Ser# less than 00300 is a great gun. I bought one 2 months ago Ser # HM94X and had at least one failure to extract out of every mag with any ammo. I sent it to Cocoa and got it back in about 3 weeks. now it has failure to fire problems. at least one out of every mag. the firing pin is not putting a very big dent in the primer and in some cases none at all. the hammer falls but nothing happens. I will be selling this gun in the news paper as is. this is the 3rd gun I have sent to Cocoa and the 3rd one I got back that did not work well. I will not buy another Keltec. 2 out of 5 have worked for me. the rest I sell at a loss because I can not get them fixed. sorry guys but that is just how it is. I also had / have 2 P32's . one is great , one is junk and was sold at a gun show for less than I paid. |
