I've had a CZ52 for close to two years now. I've put about 2,000 rounds through it. Mostly Romanian surplus and about 500 rounds Norinco. All good ammo and no issues with any of it. Recently, one of my rollers has cracked in half and the other half is god knows where. No idea what happened...there was no sign of friction around them leading up to this. Another problem I sometimes have with it is that locks back like its empty even if there's more ammunition in the magazine. What causes this? Where can I get a new roller wheel, and I've heard of people with a 1911 style slide release on their CZ52. Where can I get one of those?
Are there any reputable gunsmiths who are good with CZ52s? I'd like to have it looked over and fixed. |

As far as locking open when still loaded, check the spring that operates the hold open catch. It's that lever on the left side of the frame above the trigger, There's a spring that holds it down unless pushed up by the mag follower. Sometmes the spring pops off. BTDT. Must have happened while cleaning and went unnoticed.
As the previous poster noted, you can get hardened rollers at the site noted. FWIW, the slide release lever you noted has received very mixed reviews. Based upon what I read I took a pass on one for mine. |

That spring you're talking about seems to be gone. Can I get another one somewhere? Have you tried here?: http://czcustom.com/Ghost-Holster.aspx |
