| Anyone out there have a CZ-40p besides me? No one ever seems to have heard of this weapon. |

Yes the Colt/CZ venture. Do you have one of these? I am interested in getting a heavier main spring to reduce recoil and i was curious if you have any feed back on this. sorry, i dont have one or any parts. did you try Numerich? also, if you can get some dimensions, maybe Wolff may have some? you can contact them and see what they may have or could modify/make? |

Wait a second. The 40P is not the child of the Colt/CZ semi-partnership. That's the CZ 40B.
The 40P is the mating of the 40B top end and the P-01 frame. Quite a different animal. I have both and the 40P is extremely accurate. I added night sights to mine as I thought I'd use it as a carry gun. –– Mike |

I believe you have the two confused. |

Sorry, absolutely no confusion here.
The Colt Z 40 was Colt's attempt to get into the LE .40S&W market. The original Z40 was DAO. When that partnership fell through, CZ took the Z40, made it DA/SA and added the trigger block (hence the "B") plus some other changes and marketed it as the CZ 40 B. The 40 P came out later by mating the 40 B top end to the P01 frame. BTW, when I purchased my 40 P, night sights were not part of the offering. Feel free to research that all you want over at the CZ Forum. We have dedicated boards for each pistol. http://www.czforumsite.info/index.php Here is a link to a Guns America auction of a Colt Z 40 just to show you that the 40 B is the child of the Colt/CZ relationship and not the 40 P. http://www.gunsamerica.com/948735254/Guns-For-Sale/Gun-Auctions/Pistols/Colt-Automatic-Pistols/Colt_Z_40.htm –– Mike Moderator, The CZ Forum |

I own both versions, the 40B and 40P. Like them both, but favor the 40B. I'd like to have the 40B in a 9mm version, too! Rick SGF, Mo. |
