If you go to CZ international site, they show pictures of it. It is listed on the site as CZ75 D compact (P01). CZ-USA said they released some here marked that way. Bought one Monday just like it. You won't be disappointed.

Yeah I put 36 rounds through it today.  I was about 30% more accurate with it than with what I usually shoot (Glock 23).  No malfunctions or anything.

Yeah, P-01.

It's like coming home.

I guess it's good that I only live about 10 minutes away from them.

NO IT'S NOT!

Once you step inside you'll find new, different, better accessories that will drain your will and your wallet: like the trigger on your PO1 - don't handle one in the case with a trigger job - sweet, like the way it feels in your hand - don't try the thin steel grips, .......you have been warned.

They PO1 is a great gun, Angus will make it better. Good place to check out things CZ.

I got my P01 too, noticed it was aka CZ 75D.  I'm really excited for this gun, so far the DA/SA is pretty good compared to some other guns I've had with the same trigger.

Another note: this thing is MUCH smaller than I expected!  Dimension wise it seems smaller than my Glock 19 with the exception of being thicker.

Well, they are very close but the P-01 is a bit thicker (especially in the grip area) and a little taller.  Also notice that your hand will be higher up on the Glock than the CZ.  The G19 will be easier to carry for sure.

The overall feel of the CZ is superior, but the Glock definitely has its strong points.

If you ever want to get into a great CZ carry option, a PCR is fantastic.

I let a P228 (original) go for it and have never regretted the switch.

what exactly is wrong with a p01 for carry? It conceals the same as the pcr for me and the mtac for the p01 is very nice and doesn't have a multiple month wait just to get one to try.

The used sp01 take offs from angus at cz custom are cheap and a decent option but if you don't mind spending some money get the trijicon cz02y sights. They are the standard 3 dot tritiums for cz but I find them to be nicer in the day than the meprolight ones  plus they offer yellow rears which is something I wanted. Mepro is all green. Get them and then pay a smith 15$ to install them at the most. Get smith to loctite the rear or peen it in place so it stays put for a long time. CZ rears tend to slide of I noticed.

The used night sights from angus are a great deal but don't work well with the compacts.  They come off the full size and will throw off your POI (straight from their gunsmith).

The first time I held a P01, I knew I had to have it.

It just fits my hands perfectly.

I have the cz75 compact .40. Does anyone know if the exterior specs are pretty much identical? I know they look the same by eye, but I'm wondering in case I find holsters that only list p-01, if they will fit the compact .40 just fine.

I agree. When gun shopping I held just about any gun imaginable, the CZ felt the best in my hand by far.

In addition to Angus, there is also Matt Mink - http://www.matthewmink.com/; I had him put a set of green front/orange rear Trijicons on my P-01.

I'm fairly certain that the Compact .40 will fit in a P-01 holster.

The only difference *might* be the overall thickness of the frame.  The P-01 is slightly thicker than the standard CZ frames allowing the right side of the slide release(the part you use to disassemble the pistol) to be flush with the pistol rather than protruding out.  Look at the first pic up top to see what I'm talking about.
