Finally saved up enough for a CZ SP01 Shadow.

nice gun..sights are big and easy to see..rear sight notch is nice and deep, FO on the front.
trigger is decent..DA was off my scale..so it was over 8# and the SA was 3.25#. the trigger is smooth and reset is short without the firing pin block.
gun came with three mags..test target..which looked pretty good..three shot about 1" high left and two shot about 1/2" low right.
gun also has some nice features..85Combat trigger with overtravel stop, ext mag release, flat mag brake ( drop free ), full length tapered delrin guide rod, rubber grip panels .

so not ever being one to leave something alone..
I redid the trigger..whichi was really easy and straight forward. I pulled some pressure off the trigger spring, replaced the hammer spring with a 15# cut 2 coils, greased and boosted the hammer/sear.  Now the trigger is at 6# DA and 2.25# SA. I beveled the breechface, polished the disconnector rail, replaced the guide rod and put on some flat aluminum grips.

neat gun..I think worth the price.

I really like my shadow and I think it was worth every penny! Did you respring the gun, like the mainspring and recoil spring? I did on mine and it made some difference in the trigger pull and ease of working the slide.

I would think that my DA pull is somewhere around the 6-7# mark and it seems that the single action would be right around the 3# mark as well.

I need to order another pair of the aluminum grips for mine...what color did you get the grips in? I have the red ones on my 75B SA and if FedEx would ever get my package delivered Matt can start the custom work on it.

eerw, what do you think, is it better than a full-blown  75sa? I almost bought one, but they were out and I was ready to buy. How does it shoot compared to a cz 75?

I have an old set of blue aluminum grips that I really like..so that is what is on my Shadow right now..

3-gun..boy that's a hard one choice..I have run the 75SA both as a single action gun and converted to DA/SA.
both guns have extend ambi safeties, both can have ext mag release, both have the nice beavertail. The Shadow comes with good sights, no firing pin block and the extra weight of the rail to make it a really soft shooter.

the 75SA is easily upgraded to have nice sights, easy to remove the firing pin block..

so bringing them all equal the differenc is the weight of the gun..and which you would prefer..

what would be your intended use for it??

I'm shooting mine in 3-gun. Most of the matches I shoot do not have a power factor for pistol, 9mm or better two hits on paper. I almost took the 75sa to Ft Benning but I decided I need to but a few more rounds through it. I think it will be a good set up, i just need to get two or three of the 19 round mags.
