I'm looking for a new CCW gun.  I currently have a CZ P-01 and I love it, but it is bigger than I would like it to be for a CCW.  Does anyone have any experience with the CZ 2075 RAMI?  Is it noticeably smaller than the P-01?

Edit: Got the RAMI. See Below.

Yes, it is quite a bit smaller than the P-01.  I CCW'd my .40 RAMI for quite a while until I got my S&W M&P 45c.  Carried it in a Galco Yaqui holster that I originally purchased for my P-01.

Thanks for the input.  I think I'm going to have to order one, have to get it in before the Jan 1 price increase.

I have one in 9mm and it is a great pistol. Never an issue and runs great. Accuracy is acceptable for a compact carry pistol.

Just picked it up today, will post pics and the range report later.

Well, here it is.

My slide is a bit different than I expected from the stock photos.

As you can see there are no front serrations on mine, and most of the slide is inset a bit.  Mine also has adjustable rear sights which I am a bit disappointed about.  Anyone know anything about this change?

It shoots very nice, but I had a few FTF issues.  They only happened with the 10 round mags, and it only happened a few times.  It does worry me a bit.  I'm hoping it is just a break in thing.  I'll just have to go and shoot it some more to find out.  Anyone else had this problem with their RAMI?

My .40 RAMI was the most jam prone pistol I have ever owned, hence, I no longer own it.

I have been told the 9mm RAMIs are OK though so I expect it's just a break in issue with your pistol.

What ammo are you using?

Great carry piece. I really like mine.

I was using Remington UMC 115gr.

I have heard that the .40's were jam prone, but the 9mm's are fine.

I have the .40S&W.  No issues with jamming.

I put another 100 rounds through it yesterday, and it went much better.  It did have one FTF, but it just took a little bump to correct it.  I will put several hundred more rounds through it before I decide it is carry worthy, and if it isn't, I will give CZ-USA a call and I'm sure they will make it right.

If I remember correctly, the Ramis are imported with adjustable sights to get enough points with the BATFE's import point system. The sights should have been replaced by CZ-USA before it went to a distributor. I'd e-mail CZ-USA or give them a call to confirm this.

ETA: I figured I'd post this on the CZ forums to get a more definite answer for you: CZ Shooters & CZ Forum

Thanks for the info.  I'll contact CZ to find out what the deal is.

I took it to the range and put another 150 rounds through it tonight.  I had two FTF just like last time I shot.  They were both with the 10 round factory mags.  I also tried two Mec-Gar 19 round mags.  They performed flawlessly, and were a lot of fun.

Here is a pic of the failure:

Here is a pic of the mag when I removed it to clear:

As you can see, when the round was chambered, the slide drug along the next round and pushed it forward.  This pushed the round to be chambered up and caused the jam.

Anyone know what causes this?  Will it need a trip to CZ-USA to fix?

I am going to email these pics to CZ-USA when I ask about the rear sight.

I heard back from CZ-USA.  They said they would replace the rear sight free of charge when I send it in to get the FTF issue resolved.

If you really want the fixed sights, you can call them.  It may not be worth it for you, as there is a 4-6 week turnaround time.  If I didn't need to have service done to my gun, I would just buy some night sights and put them on myself.

I just got my service authorization number and am sending it out today.  I will let you know how it comes out.

Good news everyone, I got my RAMI back today.  It has a nicely polished feed ramp and chamber,  a throat job, and a deburred slide.  I hope to get to the range tomorrow and try her out.

Took it to the range today and it performed flawlessly.  I am very happy with it.

Also forgot to mention that they did put the fixed rear sight on for me.

Same mags for a CZ 75?

Yes, it uses the same mags as a CZ 75.
