Hello
I've got an SP-01 tactical (decocker). The reach for the trigger is just a tad bit long. Looking at the CZ 85, i can see the trigger shape is different. Is it possible to switch out triggers? would a gunsmith have to do it, or could an end user who is moderately mechanically inclined do it? how much effect would switching of triggers have on trigger pull weight? has anyone here done it and if so, share your experiences? thanks |

I've not tried switching as both of my CZ's are single action. Yes, changing to a different design trigger WILL produce a different trigger pull effort as one's finger will be closer/further from the grip, depending on how one changes it out.
Look for some triggers here: http://www.ghostholster.com. Good luck! |

hey everyone. thanks for the info. based purely on looks, i thought the trigger of the 85 would have a shorter reach than that of the standard trigger. i'll take eerw's word that the 85 trigger has a longer reach and therefore isn't what i'm looking for.
is it possible to put the straight SA trigger from the 75SA or 75TS on a DA gun? i'll shoot angus and eagleshield an email and see what they suggest. thanks |

got a reply from Rob Bagnato at ghost holster
The 85 Combat trigger would lengthen the pull. They are correct. The best suggestion would be use the gun de-cocked it's actually in half cock. The initial take up requires no effort and this can be accomplished easily with the tip of your finger. There is nothing we can do to shorten the reach unfortunately. Rob Bagnato Ghost Products/CZ Custom so there it is, guess i'll have to deal with the length. (i forgot to mention, i am using slim wood grips already) |
